Image Generation System & Framework

The default pre-packaged installer containes precompiled dependencies for out of the box use right from sourceforge site. The sites below will have the latest dependencies version available. In addition the versions of software from the projects below have been included in the distribution.

OpenSceneGraph : is an open source high performance 3D graphics toolkit, used by application developers in fields such as visual simulation, games, virtual reality, scientific visualization and modelling. Written entirely in Standard C++ and OpenGL it runs on all Windows platforms, OSX, GNU/Linux, IRIX, Solaris, HP-Ux, AIX and FreeBSD operating systems.

wxWidgets : wxWidgets gives you a single, easy-to-use API for writing GUI applications on multiple platforms that still utilize the native platform's controls and utilities. Link with the appropriate library for your platform (Windows/Unix/Mac, others coming shortly) and compiler (almost any popular C++ compiler), and your application will adopt the look and feel appropriate to that platform.

Virtual Terrain Project : The goal of VTP is to foster the creation of tools for easily constructing any part of the real world in interactive, 3D digital form.

FLTK - Fast Light Toolkit : is a cross-platform C++ GUI toolkit for UNIX/Linux (X11), Microsoft Windows, and MacOS X. FLTK provides modern GUI functionality without the bloat and supports 3D graphics via OpenGL and its built-in GLUT emulation.

FLTK is designed to be small and modular enough to be statically linked, but works fine as a shared library. It also includes an excellent UI builder called FLUID that can be used to create applications in minutes.

CIGI : The Common Image Generator Interface is an open simulation protocol for communication between a host device and an IG. The SubrScene IGS and framework provides support so that simulation applications can easily communicate to the visual system.
